Light shifts, spring becomes summer then turns into fall; potato vines replace alyssum while birds nest, then fledge; a pair of shoes on a pedestal, orange one day, becomes blue the next…. Each day brings surprise to the endless patterns of El Jardin Azul ( the Blue Garden ) of Ron MacBain and Gus Carrasco.

More than garden studies, these paintings and works on paper are portraits of two remarkable spirits, and the fifty seven years they’ve created together.
